Can't believe my ears. The guy must be senile. He spilled the beans about his true beliefs. Most on the left wouldn't be as forthright.

That is one of the most incredible things you have put on your blog.

That woman articulated that argument so concisely, so accurately that there is no rational come-back for the supporters of Obama-care.

two things:
First, thanks for the great posts on this blog

and second, where did you find this video.

When the common man (or in this case, woman) knows more about constitutional limits on government than the elected "representative," you know some bad juju is coming down.

I think you good folks might be missing an important point. This one town hall isn't necessarily characteristic of that district, the state of California, or the nation. There are now so many voters that agree with Pete Stark that it's not such a bad thing for him to speak openly like that. Who do you think voted for Obama and the Democratic majority in Congress in the first place? Let's not forget that after all that's happened, Obama's approval ratings still aren't far from 50-50, and some of his deserters are leftists who think he hasn't gone far enough.

Hmmmm. Well, your take is rather sobering. I could say terrifying, but I'm trying to keep the flames out of my hair.

But there is that judge in VA that questioned the constitutionality of that insurance mandate.

It ain't over til it's over.

I think about 35% of the population agrees with Representative Stark. The vast majority of Americans, once awakened, do feel the center of our countries success lies in our value of liberty and individual (State or person) pursuit.

It does, however, BLOW ME AWAY, that a congressman can, in an open public forum, say that constitutionally, the Feds can do anything they want. That is frickn' ridiculous. Where is the state run media? Jodie, send this on to Beck!

If the "vast majority" wasn't already awakened by Reverend Wright, Tony Rezko, Bill Ayers, "Spreading the wealth around," not prosecuting Black Panthers for voter intimidation, "nation of cowards," Orwellian beer summit with "racist" cop, ACORN workers abetting child prostitution, bowing to dictators (literally), nationalizing GM, nationalizing the mortgage industry, "We have to pass the 2000 page bill to see what's in it," nationalizing health care, suing a state for guarding the national border ... then either they're never going to wake up, or this vast majority doesn't even exist.

I can't imagine a single person out there who would approve of all of the above only to finally be swayed by this video, can you? My point here isn't to sway anybody. I simply think that there are now two opposite and irreconcilable camps in the U.S.

I think you are overestimating the number of people who actually know or knew all those atrocities at the time... thank you Left-wing media!! We've met an interesting cross-section of people up here in the mountains this weekend - from the mine worker from South Dakota to the hardware salesman from Texas. Trust me... these people have enough common sense to be appalled, if only they knew.

But how many people are even paying attention to the old media any more? The big three networks are losing more viewers every year, newspapers are scaling back, and Newsweek was just sold for $1.
